Big on the Beach at Ardrossan South Beach has become a highlight in the August calendar. It is now in its third-year, having run in 2009 and 2010. This year the event takes place from 4 - 6 August 2011.
Activities will include power kite flying, kite-boarding, windsurfing, a make-your-own-boats boating pond, treasure hunt, book sale, inflatables, assault course, bouncy castle, bungee trampolines, gyroscope, laserquest, basketball and for younger children facepainting, an animal show, a ball pool and a soft play area.
There will also be a number of shows, and WestFM will be broadcasting from the event. I am going along to this event to try and get young kids into the sport and hopefully show them what windsurfing is all about.
